Are Health Facilities Ready to Provide Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care?
In July 2013, in partnership with USAID, Kenya’s Ministry of Health embarked on a program to expand emergency obstetric and newborn care services to 15 counties spanning the country’s 10 major regions. As part of this effort, MEASURE Evaluation PIMA analyzed research findings and disseminated them to county teams.

Tracking Maternal and Newborn Health Interventions in Kenya
The Kenyan Ministry of Health, in collaboration with development partners, including critical support from MEASURE Evaluation PIMA, developed a reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) Scorecard for the country. The result of this work is a quarterly Scorecard comprising 27 national- and county-level indicators across six categories that span the care continuum.

Commemoration of World Malaria Day in Kenya
MEASURE Evaluation-PIMA currently supports the National Malaria Control Program in strengthening malaria surveillance systems in Kenya. As celebrations continue, MEASURE Evaluation-PIMA will be concluding the last day of a series of trainings on malaria surveillance for over 640 health workers from Migori, Homa Bay, Kisumu, and Kakamega counties.
