In South Africa, the national Department of Health (DoH) has led the development of strategies and policies to standardize the management of information systems from the facility level up to the national level. MEASURE Evaluation–Strategic Information for South Africa (MEval-SIFSA) made significant contributions to this effort, as well as to the rollout of the District Health Management Information System (DHMIS) policy and its standard operating procedures (SOPs).
