The MEASURE Evaluation Project in the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a large international project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) that focuses on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of population, health and nutrition programs and improving health sector decision-making. The MEASURE Evaluation Project is the largest social science project ever awarded to UNC and has a budget of $180 million and associate awards totaling $67 million. The project consists of five subcontractors serving as major partners including John Snow Inc., ICF International, Futures Group, Tulane University, and Management Sciences for Health and over sixty minor subcontractors. The project has a headquarters at UNC-CH and partner organizations but has seven country offices and works in over thirty-seven countries at a time. There are over 200 active scopes of work taking place at any given time throughout the world.
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the Director, Associate Director, and will provide limited administrative support to research associates. Support provided includes making space, audio-visual, equipment, food and other arrangements for in-house project meetings, taking minutes at meetings, assisting with formatting reports and presentations prior to the final publication stage, and other general administrative support tasks necessary to assist technical staff with accomplishing their work. The funding agency, USAID, is involved in the daily interactions with this project. This position will be a main liaison of support between the funding agency and the project for setting up meetings, compiling action item task lists, and note taking meetings.
