Botswana has three types of electronic health systems used to collect health data: the Integrated Patient Management System(IPMS), used in hospitals only to collect patient diagnostic information; the Patient Management System, used in clinics with the maternity sector; and the District Health Information System 2 (DHIS2), used for aggregating health data from all facilities within the country.

Botswana Integrated Disease Surveillance & Response (Week 35 – week ending 02/09/2017)

Botswana has two main streams of Disease Surveillance Reporting:

- The Botswana Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) yearly from 100% of the districts over 35-week period.

-  Botswana Second Generation HIV/AIDS Surveillance is received from 100% of the districts. The last was published in 2009 and 2015/2016 draft was compiled but not yet released.
