The new 9th edition of the National Geographic Atlas of the World features a map and results from the 2005 census and mapping of slums done by MEASURE Evaluation and its partners in Bangladesh.

Specifically, a section of the Atlas devoted to how “Cities Shape Our Lives” uses results from MEASURE Evaluation’s 2005 work to highlight Dhaka as the key illustration of the extraordinary growth in slums (in terms of their numbers and population living in slums) and some salient features of slum life. These results all come from the Slums of Urban Bangladesh: Mapping and Census, 2005 report, and the Atlas also features a map of the slums of Dhaka in 2005 generated by MEASURE Evaluation and its partners.
