Completeness of reporting by facilities

 

Definition:

Percent of facilities that submit reports within the required deadline.

Numerator:

Number of facilities reporting monthly within a given time period.

Denominator:

Total number of facilities.

Disaggregation:

Facility type, geographic location, managing authority, programme.

Data Requirements:

The number of reports received from facilities (usually monthly) is divided by the expected number of reports from facilities. Districts also report on a monthly or quarterly basis to national levels, and the received number of reports can be related to the expected number in order to assess completeness.

Purpose:

This indicator contributes to the measurement of facility management performance, such as the existence and use of administrative systems to maintain and improve health service provision.
