MEASURE Evaluation, UNAIDS and WHO hosted a workshop entitled "Towards Improved Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV Prevention, AIDS Care and STD Control Programs" from November 17-20 in Nairobi, Kenya. Attending were 45 participants representing 13 developing countries and numerous international and donor organizations. Participants analyzed country-level experiences of M&E in national HIV/AIDS/STD programs, reviewed the components of a national M&E system and discussed the improvement and development of indicators.
A representative from each country wrote a report on the state of monitoring and evaluation of HIV prevention, AIDS care and STD control programs in their country.
