M&E of Tuberculosis Control Programs- 1 Day Module

This module is an introduction to basic concepts in monitoring and evaluation of tuberculosis control, and should be a first step in encouraging workshop participants to build their individual and organizational capacity to monitor and evaluate their programs.

This module is designed and intended to be used as a 3 hour training session that is delivered as part of a larger M&E workshop on population, health and nutrition topics, including HIV. It is intended to be an introduction to basic concepts in monitoring and evaluation of tuberculosis control programs, and should be a first step in encouraging workshop participants to build their individual and organizational capacity to monitor and evaluate their programs.

This training module includes a PowerPoint presentation, readings, and class exercises.

By the end of this training module, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the global threat and key drivers of the TB epidemic
  • Discuss the DOTS strategy and its implementation
  • Apply TB M&E tools and methodologies
  • Use and interpret key TB indicators
