Yes, there is a National Strategic Information Committee with different technical working groups (TWG) (HIS/Informatics; Surveillance and M&E) but does not include representatives of the telecommunications and private health sector. The committee met quarterly until 2015. The Informatics TWG has been the more active body since then. |

Births are registered in delivery register and deaths are also registered in paper-based data collection tools. The registration of deaths and their causes are configured in DHIS 2 during year 2016, and the system will generate this information in 2017. With regards to birth registration, the HIS department is in discussion with the Ministry of the Interior to determine the indicator and also how to integrate this in DHIS 2 (the timeline was not provided). |

DQAs have been conducted at the four levels of the health system (facility, district, regional, and central levels) but not on a regular basis (2011, 2015). The most recent is the service availability readiness survey data quality review conducted in 2016. RDQA are conducted annually on a regular basis in the health regions on keys indicators (malaria, reproductive health, HIV, and TB). |
