MEASURE Evaluation conducted evaluations to provide detailed descriptions of care and support services delivered through PEPFAR funding and identify the effective components and costs of the services, to improve the health of people with HIV in Kenya and Uganda.

Part of a larger two-phase evaluation, this study describes the nature of HIV care and support provision funded by PEPFAR, including the types of facilities available, clients seen, and availability of specific components of care. Researchers also evaluated how PEPFAR care and support program components and costs are related to health outcomes.

Researchers outline recommendations for health professionals, health facility managers, policymakers and researchers.
