Abstract:

This 42-page document serves as an introduction to and rationale for the Reproductive Health Indicators Working Group (RHIWG), which convened to develop indicators for monitoring and evaluating reproductive health. RHIWG members formed subcommittees, each of which developed a series of indicators for one of the following areas: safe pregnancy, HIV and other STDs, women's nutrition, breastfeeding, and adolescent reproductive health services.
