Join MEASURE Evaluation on Wednesday, May 1, from 8:00–9:30am EDT, for an introduction to a data collection tool to assess households’ readiness to graduate from programs for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). The tool provides guidance on which of the eight benchmarks to be answered by the caseworker carrying out the assessment and contains instructions for scoring and determining whether the household is ready for graduation. We will also introduce the Graduation Data Quality and Sustainability Assessment for OVC Programs.

Speakers

Lisa Parker, PhD, is a senior technical advisor in data, informatics, and analytical solutions at MEASURE Evaluation, Palladium. She has more than 15 years of experience working in public health, monitoring and evaluation, and international development with a focus on HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, household economic strengthening, and vulnerable children. She currently oversees the OVC portfolio for MEASURE Evaluation.

Gretchen Bachman is acting senior advisor, OVC, Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator, U.S. State Department.

S. Joshua Volle, DrPH, MEd, is senior OVC research and evaluation advisor with the Bureau for Global Health/Office of HIV/AIDS/Priority Populations, Integration, and Rights Division, CAMRIS/USAID.
