Course NameOverview
Fundamentals of Implementation Research

This media-rich, interactive version of Fundamentals of Implementation Research is a non-certificate course designed for high bandwidth settings that provides a highly engaging introduction to the language, concepts, tools, and strategies used in implementation research (IR). The information is intended to be practical and useful for researchers and program implementers as an orientation to IR.

GIS Step by Step Mini-Tutorials

These online GIS mini tutorials are practical, self-instructional tools that reinforce the concepts introduced by the "Geographic Approaches to Global Health" and "GIS Techniques for M&E of HIV/AIDS and Related Programs" online courses and support successful GIS application and use in informing HIV/AIDS program decision making.

Multiple Decrement Life Tables

This course introduces the concept of multiple decrement life tables. It provides information on data requirements to construct a multiple decrement life table and provides techniques for computational aspects of life table construction and corresponding summary measures.

Population Analysis for Planners

The purpose of this module is to help planners use population information and analysis to develop, evaluate and revise regional, district and local development plans. The course is intended for planners with limited knowledge of population analysis. It is designed to meet the needs of planners with expertise in a number of areas such as education, health, economic and community development and housing.

Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI)

Participants in the four modules of this online course will learn on three levels—personal, professional, and programmatic. During the course they will explore their personal attitudes and values about gender identity and sexual orientation and the curriculum will teach them how to define and differentiate sexual orientation from gender identity and explain sexual- and gender-related human rights. Modules provide a review of gender and sexuality globally; summarize recommendations for including sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI); and go into research and other methods for developing appropriate SOGI questions in specific countries and regions.

The PLACE Course

This course is an introduction to the Priorities for Local AIDS Control Efforts (PLACE) method.
